Home Meeting's Prayers

Tonight's home meeting is really sweet, everyone just prayed for one another. I have to confess, often I feel that prayers are rather boring and burdensome. When others asked me to pray for them, I feel both burdened yet glad. Even though my natural man doesn't want to pray for them, but my spirit is glad because from this, I got reminded to pray every time someone asked me to pray for them. Thanks!

Anyways, I was SO glad that I get to go to home meeting tonight. We had a simple taco salad dinner, then we sang some hymns. In the end, some of the girls opened up their situations and we just started to pray. It was awesome. I'm so glad that as believers we can just pray for one another. Even in the Bible we can see a lot of examples where the believers are prayer for another. For example, Colossians 1:9a it says, "Therefore we also, since the day we heard of it, do not cease praying and asking on your behalf...". I really appreciate that in our Christian walk, we need each other. We need others to pray for us and for us to pray for them.

  1. I love the home meetings! I go to at least 2 home meetings a week, and I love BOTH the food(the saints cook delicious food!!!) and the fellowship. We also many times go around and share what we enjoyed this past week, and then pray for one another... in the Body of Christ, no matter the age / culture / race / stage of growth in life, we need one another! AAAMEEEEN!

  3. 1 Samuel 12:23 says "Moreover as for me, far be it from me that I would sin again Jehovah by ceasing to pray for you..."

Isn't it glorious, P, to pray for each other? Such a sweet caring for each other! I am really encouraged by reading your blog to join myself even closer to the students of Christians on Campus. What an enjoyment!!

  4. Home meeting is always the highlight of my semester, Stefan! Yes Daniel, we'll continue to pray for the Lord's move! Julia, we talked about that verse in the home meeting last night and I really want to write it down on my post but I didn't know the reference, thanks! :)

  5. Wow! I really feel like praying for one another is sooo important and the way we can help one another and bear one another's burdens. This reminds me of this verse I really enjoyed, "Bear one another's burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ completely." (Galatians 6:2) Thank You Lord we don't have to bear anything alone! :)
