Each One Has

A couple of hours ago before I left my apartment for my usual Friday home meeting I was a little worried. Half (or more) of the usual people are out of town! I kept on thinking, "Oh no, it will be so weird, what will we be doing in the home meeting?" But, praise the Lord He is faithful. When believers gather together, calling on His name, praising Him, enjoying and digesting Him, He is there in our midst!

There were only nine of us tonight, two moms and seven college students. It was really sweet. We had our dinner, we catch up with each other and we started to sing. Truthfully, I don't even remember what we sang, I just remembered that it was so sweet. While we were singing, one of the couples that are out of town called to check up on us if we're okay. Even when they are out of town, I can feel their spirit are still with us in the home meeting.  Then we start singing to them through the phone, which was sweet.

Then, we didn't really know what to do, so we just started going around and shared our enjoyment of the week. Amen! Everyone has a portion of Christ they can share to one another! I really appreciate everyone's portion.

Whenever I meet with other believers, I always enjoy 1 Corinthians 14:26, it says: "What then, brothers? Whenever you come together, each one has a psalm, has a teaching, has a revelation, has a tongue, has an interpretation. Let all things be done for building up."

So precious, when you come together with the believers, you can always open your mouth and speak your portion of Christ. Even by saying "Praise the Lord!" or "I love the Lord Jesus!", you've shared your psalm!

  1. Amen! No matter how big or small the gathering is, as long as we exercise our spirit calling Him and open to one another, there's the flow and enjoyment in our midst. :D ~Shu-Fen <3

  2. Right! Each one has a portion! Once someone compared believers coming together and sharing their portion of Christ to making a salad... even if you feel like you just have a little cranberry to contribute, it makes the salad SOOO YUMMY and RICH! :)

  3. Those moments of terror- the realization that the typical "leader" won't be showing up- lead to another realization, that each one has!
